​Communication. Essential To Your Home Based Business

This is the second in a grouping of articles that address the viability of a Home Based Business.

One thing we at The Wish Pearl know for certain is that our business would not be successful without keeping in touch with our clients.

Possible Blogging Goals

When an existing, viable business blogs, clearly its visibility rises. Some say it is just important that you blog, and not necessarily what you blog about. We think, however, that the most useful application of your blogging is something at least related. In the case of The Wish Pearl we, of course, can (and have) written about fashion, weddings, seasonal items, and more, as all of these topics relate in some way back to our Wish Pearl pendants, charms, bracelets, jewelry, and other offerings. In short, as clothing is fashion, so is jewelry.

You might work on understanding SEO so as to increase visibility as well. Some would tell you knowing and properly utilizing SEO is ESSENTIAL in today’s world. There is plenty to read for free on the internet and we strongly suggest you get started. Good use of SEO will bring traffic your way.

Utilize Email And Build Your Base

Speaking of traffic, do not forget to utilize your existing client list as your Email list. Email is more important than you may ever realize. The Wish Pearl sends a weekly newsletter highlighting our product line to our email list.

To build your list, do not ever overlook what is right in front of you; namely, your customers. Put a line for an email address on registration screens and on order forms. It is so easy to retrieve information utilizing this method and add this to your email list. Include your friends and neighbors who, at minimum, will be curious about what you do for a living and, at maximum, see its value and become a customer.

Also, and this takes a little bit more time, anyone who emails you for any reason should be moved to your list. It is more than fair that you can solicit someone who solicits you. You must show other marketers that you have confidence in your products at least to the level they appear to have theirs.

Even if you do not have immediate results, do not remove them from your list unless they request you do so.

Intro To Social Media

You can and should refer your email clients to your website and social media in general. But a word of caution. We suggest you post regularly on social media once you start to post on those sites you select. It can be very cumbersome to have to post often--so pick, choose, and start slowly. For example, logical choices would be Facebook and Instagram. But keep doing it. Build a calendar for posting twice a week on Facebook and bi-weekly on Instagram.
