Ladybug, Ladybug Fly Away (to my) Home!
The Ladybug, such as the shiny one depicted in our Ladybug Pendant Necklace, is considered lucky. About 500 years ago, European farmers were having big trouble with insects called aphids because they were sucking the juices from the farmers' grapevines. So the farmers prayed to the Virgin Mary for help.
Soon, lots of little red beetles showed up and ate the aphids. So, to honor Mary, they named them Lady Birds, or Lady Beetles, which later became Ladybugs. Maybe you or someone you love could use a bit of luck (and a bit of beauty), our just something pretty in which to party! Our Ladybug Pendant Necklace (and the party) could be the cure for what ails you. Intricately etched with little holes simulating spots, when our Wish Pearl is added, it counts for a spot as well. Best of luck in love!
